#RetailResources: Expert Tips For Retailers Preparing to Reopen
1.
Make sure you advertise curbside pickup. Don’t miss out on shoppers who may still prefer online ordering & contactless pick-up.
2.
Get masks that are comfortable and can go with anything! I love @rendallco which are made in LA and come in light and dark denim. Not only will customers feel more comfortable in your store as they see you and your staff taking safety precautions, they will likely ask if you’re selling them.
3.
Focus on digital personal shopping. I like how Fred Segal is doing personal Zoom shopping sessions. See how they do it by exploring their @fredsegal on IG.
4.
Don't get worried if customers are slow to trickle in. They are getting acclimated to a new shopping environment. Reassure them in newsletters and on social media of all you are doing to keep them and your team safe!
5.
Get creative with your store windows. Now that more people are out and about, you'll want it to be very easy for a potential customer to discover you. Eye-catching windows are the ideal way to draw in curious passersby.
6.
Be realistic. Your old employees may not be ready or want to come back to work yet, so stay active on staffing. I like 24Seven for recruiting needs. Their fashion-focused temps are a great solution for helping your store relaunch while your regular staff is on break.
7.
Stay positive and optimistic. Q4 is going to be robust, so reach out to vendors and start planning!
